Grainless Oatmeal (!!!!) I’ve shown it a few times in my Instagram story and have received a lot of interest in it, so the recipe is finally here! This oatmeal is full of so many beneficial fats and goodness. I’m not even a big breakfast person and have found myself craving this every morning! This recipe is gluten free, paleo and vegan, make it nut free by using a different non-dairy milk. I’m obsessed and have so many fun flavour combos coming your way soon! #goinggrainless
Hemp seed – Rich in two essential fatty acids (omega-3) & (omega-6), source of plant protein (2 tbsp = 11g)
Flaxseed – Solutable and unsolvable source of fibre, contains good fats (omega-3).
Chia seeds – Great for your digestive system. A good source of fibre, protein, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc.
Makes: 1-2 servings (I eat it in 1)
4 tbsp hemp seed
3 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp maple syrup (or more – sweeten to your liking)
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over the stove top then reduce heat for 1-2 minutes serving often until thickened. OR microwave for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes.
Top if your favourite fruits, nuts and seeds.
