Basil Pesto Recipe

A simple sauce to liven up chicken, pasta, pizza and more! This recipe is gluten free, dairy free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, nut free, soy free, refined sugar free.

Basil Pesto Recipe 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup packed fresh basil leaves

  • 1/4 cup avocado  oil

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients together in a food processor / blender.

  2. Pour pesto into a small airtight container and let sit in fridge for at least 2 hours before serving. The pesto also stores well in the freezer for up to a month.
