Grainless Cheesy Potato Hash

An easy recipe that is perfect for your next weekend brunch. Pair with an egg for a simple, yet delicious meal. This recipe is gluten free, paleo, nut free and vegan (without the egg).

Cheesy Potato Hash Recipe

Serves: 4

Prep time: 7 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes


  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 15-20 small red potatoes (or sweet potato), scrubbed and chopped into 1cm cubes
  • 3 shallots, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp parsley, chopped


1. Heat a skillet with oil and broth.

2. Add in potatoes, shallots, green pepper and carrot. Cook in medium-low or 15 minutes, flipping every so often.

3. Stir in nutritional yeast, salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until crispy (add another 3-4 tbsp of vegetable broth if the mixture is to dry).
