Grainless Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

Nothing says home cooking like comfort food! This is a meal takes under 30 minutes from start to finish and is perfect for a week night dinner.

Grainless Meatloaf Balls topped with Gravy over Mashed Potatoes & Garlic Green Beans

Meatball Ingredients: 

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef or ground turkey

  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 2 tsp dry mustard

  • 1 tbsp gluten free Worchester sauce

  • ½ tsp pink himalyan salt

  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Gravy Ingredients: 

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • ½ tsp Worchester sauce

  • 3 tbsp arrowroot starch

Mashed Potatoes Ingredients: 

  • 4-5 medium potatoes

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • Small bunch chives (optional)

 Garlic Green Beans Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups green beans

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ¼ tsp pink himalayan salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. Boil water in a pot on the stove top.

  3. Peel potatoes, cut into quarter and place in boiling water. Boil potato for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.

  4. In a mixing bowl make the meatballs by combining oil, ground beef, flaxseed, egg, ketchup, dry mustard, Worchester, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder.

  5. Roll into meatballs. (I got 20 out of this) Then place on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes on each side.

  6. To make the gravy melted butter in a small pot on the stovetop. Add in onions and sauté for 5 minutes until transparent. Add in broth, Worchester and starch. Bring gravy to a boil then turn down to medium heat stirring constantly for 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.

  7. Using a potato masher mash potatoes then add in almond milk.

  8. To make green been wash green beans and cut off the ends. Place in a microwavable bowl. Add 1 tbsp of water, butter, garlic and salt.  Microwave for 4-5 minutes.
