Grainless Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

There’s not much better than a savoury bowl of comfort food. This has to be one of the simplest beet stew recipes around! In the morning throw all ingredients into a crockpot and let slow cook for 8 hours. Your perfect dinner will be waiting for you when get home at the end of the day (and you’ll have tons of leftovers!).This recipe is grain free, gluten free, dairy free, paleo, nut free, soy free and refine sugar free.

Grainless Beef Stew


  • 1 ½ lbs boneless stewing beef , cut into 1 ½” pieces

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp pink Himalayan salt

  • ¼ cup arrowroot starch

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1 yellow onion, chopped

  • 2 gloves garlic, crushed

  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar

  • 2 ½ cups beef broth

  • 5 potatoes, peeled + cut into pieces

  • 3 large carrots, sliced

  • 1 stalk celery, sliced

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 1 tbsp thyme


  1. In a crockpot combine beef, pepper, salt and arrowroot starch. Mix until beef is fully coated in starch.

  2. Add in oil, onion, garlic, red wine vinegar, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, celery, bay leaves and thyme.

  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
