Why does Chocolate get so much attention on Valentines Day? What about Caramel?! Didn’t you know that Caramel is Chocolate’s best friend! I made a batch of this naturally sweetened Salted Caramel Sauce to drizzle over one of the new <3day recipes I have coming this week (sneak peak on the left). This caramel sauce it grainless, paleo, vegan and nut free. It goes perfect with any treat!
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon himaylan salt
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 cup pitted dates
- In a bowl soak dates in water over night (or for at least 3 hours) until soft.
- Place dates, vanilla, salt and 1/4 cup of the date water in the food processor.
- Blend and stir as needed until smooth. Add small amounts of additional water as needed for desired consistency.
