Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

 

Happy Sunday! I love Sunday’s because it’s my day dedicated to recipe creation. During the summer months, it was more difficult to do because I also wanted to be  out enjoying the beautiful weather. Today really feels like the first fall Sunday, which excites me because all I want to do today is bring you guys a bunch of new recipes! I was up bright and early planning my meals for the week & grocery shopping. Before going recipe creation crazy I started my day with an engery-packed smoothie bowl.

Who says you can’t have treats for breakfast!? This bowl is the perfect way to jumpstart your day, it will keep you full right through until lunch time.  This bowl contains strawberries, bananas, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, almonds, coconut flakes and cacao nibs.The best part is it’s gluten free, grainless, dairy free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, soy free and refined sugar free.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie Base:

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 4 large strawberries

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Topping:

  • 3 large strawberries

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed

  • 2 tbsp coconut pieces

  • 2 tbsp slivered almonds

  • 2 tbsp raw cacao nibs

Directions:​

  1. In a food processor or blender combine bananas, strawberries, almond milk and maple syrup. Blend under completely smooth.

  2. Pour into a small bowl.

  3. Add on all the toppings and enjoy!
